Aquaculture Wholesale Market Report

HIGHLIGHTS
WELCOME! This is the first Mid-West and Canadian
Aquaculture Wholesale Market Report. There will be no report of volumes or point of origin
in this issue. Hopefully, we will be able to include this data in future issues.
As this is the first issue, no comparisons are available.
It is interesting to note the different species that are being sold in these markets.
Walleye, yellow perch, buffalo, lake white fish, smelt, white perch, sunfish, common carp
and largemouth bass are appearing. Coho salmon, red meat trout, Arctic char, white
sturgeon, steelhead and shellfish are absent.
In cooperation with individuals from the North-Central
Regional Aquaculture Center we hope to increase the participation in this report ot the
level of the other two reports. Thank you for your patience while we develop this report.
