Market Report
HIGHLIGHTS
This report is for the week ending June 13, 1997. In
general, the reported finfish prices were slightly lower to unchanged. Price increases
were reported for catfish nuggets, boned rainbow trout, dressed rainbow trout and whole
Arctic char. Price decreases were reported in catfish fillets, whole hybrid striped bass,
tilapia fillets, Atlantic salmon fillets and whole Atlantic salmon. Volume increases were
reported for catfish fillets, whole hybrid striped bass, boned rainbow trout, Atlantic
salmon fillets, whole Atlantic salmon and boned coho salmon. Volume decreases were
reported for tilapia fillets and whole Arctic char. Red meat fillets and dressed red meat
trout reappeared. Nile perch fillets appeared for the first time.
Half pints of oysters prices were unchanged and 800 half
pints less in volume. Pints of oysters were unchanged in price and 1,000 pints less in
volume. Gallons of oysters were $1.69 per gallon less and unchanged in volume. Shell
oysters were 2 cents per oyster higher and 800 oysters less in volume. Hard clams were
unchanged in price and volume. Mussels were 3 cents per pound less in volume. Live
crawfish were unchanged in price and volume. Raw black tiger shrimp was 3 cents per pound
less and unchanged in volume. Cooked black tiger shrimp was unchanged in price and volume.
