SECTION X: REGIONAL AQUACULTURE CENTER ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICES
These five Regional Aquaculture Centers were established in
1987-88 and are administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in association with
colleges and universities, Federal and State agencies and facilities, nonprofit research
institutions, and private corporations. Their mission is to support aquaculture research,
development, demonstration, and extension education to enhance viable and profitable U.S.
aquaculture production.
