Aquaculture Related Instructional Materials The Council is looking for interested teachers to review/field-test new aquaculture-related instructional materials titled, "Aquatic Resources; Awareness, Understanding and Uses for Educational Purposes." Content will create or enhance student awareness, understanding and appreciation for all different types of aquatic resources, both fresh (e.g., streams, rivers, lakes, ponds, recirc. systems, etc.) and saltwater (e.g., various coastal water bodies, etc.). This new material is full of new and expanded "aqua" activities and references to resources that will allow teachers to enhance their aquaculture program and/or to "infuse" aquatic science (e.g., biology, ecology, limnology, marine biology, hydrology, aquaculture) into their agriscience or environmental science curriculum. Materials were designed to be used by secondary teachers of agriscience, aquaculture and environmental science. Draft copies are available now and review/field testing is scheduled to be completed by January 21, 2000. Please reply directly (ASAP) to the writing team Coordinator, Dr. Bill Falls (Hillsborough Community College, Tampa FL) . He can be reached at:
