Program Description for FY 2000

The USDA CSREES National Research Initiative Competitive Grants Program (NRI) is pleased to announce that its Program Description for FY 2000 is now available on the NRI home page at http://www.reeusda.gov/nri. Among the programs described therein are the following new programs: Biology of Weedy and Invasive Plants (November 15 deadline), Biology of Plant-Microbe Associations (January 15 deadline), and Agricultural Plant Biochemistry (February 15 deadline). In addition, the Epidemiological Approaches to Food Safety Program, which was announced in a supplemental program description in FY 1999, is now included in this document with a January 15 deadline (Note: this is a change from FY 1999).
