Ornamental fish farm

This farm grows a large variety of fish for the aquarium trade. It is located, along with the tilapia farm  in a converted disused piggery. Singapore is phasing out pig farming due to pollution of coastal waters.

The farm has several modules, including outdoor ponds with suspended netting cages and indoor tanks converted from the previous pig styes. Click here for the overview of the farm.

Undercover ponds for tropical fish, converted from pig styes. Click here or here for a closer view.
There is no external water supply, and no effluent from the farm. All water is recycled. The water is recirculated through ponds of aquarium plants in order to purify it. The plants are themselves production items. Click here for a better view.
